So I'm listening to the KEXP performance of Litronics and
the last performance I had really listened to on them prior
to Litronics was Angine de Petrine back in February and I
've truly enjoyed watching their meteoric rise and how much
people have embraced them as they
human counterpoint to AI Slop as it was on the rise but it
's Litronics that I want to talk about right now
just one particular song and a comment I heard about them
about him is that he had helped so many people in the LA
music scene
but that uh and that he was celebrated I don't I don't know
anything about this particular
um singer artist except he made some beautiful music and
people spoke well of him
in and about the things that I care about um helping people
and being an older guy who's just
keeping at it no matter what and uh making some you know he
's doing it he's making some really beautiful music
and the one that there's a particular song though that's uh
really
hit me in the chest with a mallet and that was Electric Pan
oramic
oh my god I've been since what 2022 2021 something like
that working on panoramic view
and um
just learning and growing through that and uh
it's just been this kind of mental mantra for me of really
realizing that
what what we're dealing with when we're talking about
pipeline stuff and computers
request response maps back to
the idea of there is no buying without selling and there is
no selling without buying
it's a circular relationship it's a loop
and that if you take and you look at
um a system you know you start here you have your actor
and then the request goes down and it comes up and it goes
down and it comes up
back to the person down through the system
back up down through the system back up
and if you take all of that what you realize is that
it's you go down and then you go up
and that that is capturing the time
and it is a game loop basically everything's a game
it's a game loop if you ever did any game development
understand the adventure stuff that's all that's all a loop
action react response react action response
back to the actor and it's just like it's like a it's like
playing tennis against a wall
boop and then and it comes back and boop
sometimes there's a person on the other side of the net
sometimes there's a wall
but if you're just in the field
boop you're just hitting it out there and the ball doesn't
come back to you
that's fun too sometimes
that's more like udp
um but uh
but it all is
it's like that cartoon the comic with the uh the dog
where the dog's got the ball in its mouth
and the human is trying to take the ball to throw the ball
so that way the dog can go fetch it and this is
no throw only fetch
you know no throw only fetch
that it doesn't work like that you got to have the throw to
have the fetch you got to let go of the ball
so that way the other person can throw it
and the panoramic view was
was that for me and the electric panoramic is such a
beautiful song
um not about the exact same thing but man
there's a line
innovate in perfection
innovate in perfection
that's it
that that's everything
is that if you can't
if you can't
deal with imperfect
that that's
that's where innovation is
it's imperfect
i don't know
i don't know
it's just
i'm still thinking about it
but it's a
it's a song that
not a lot to me
all right anyway
thanks bye
