SonicFileFinder should be in *every* visual studio developers toolbox.
Why use SonicFileFinder?
- It’s awesome.
- It’s free.
SonicFileFinder provides a quick index of all the files in your Visual Studio solution. It’s like Intellisense for your files. I practically don’t use the Solution Explorer any longer, except as an overview of the source structure. Instead, I’ve bound Ctrl+, to SonicFileFinder and can quickly type in the file name, a partial name or a wildcard pattern and get a list of the matching files, hit Enter on the file I wanted then BAM, editing goodness. Also, along the bottom are buttons to open a Command Prompt on the directory of the selected file, or Windows Explorer.
