**Epistemic Warning & The Core Paradox: Building What We Cannot Validate (And Yet, It Is Real)**
**1. The Warning**: The maintainer cannot verify or validate many of the wild claims, economic calculations, or technical narratives generated by the AI in this repository. We are acquiring the power to will complex systems into existence that we do not understand—and then trust them with our data and lives.
**2. And Yet, It IS Real**: The 345 kV lines were real. The EMI was real. And the output master video sitting here—with all 39,069 camera frames preserved bit-for-bit without loss, and human speech restored to frame-accurate lip-sync—**is real**. The craft is learning to refuse the seductive unverified hallucinations while holding onto the empirical reality of the working tool.
**3. Should This Be in Rust? (No)**: The AI explicitly recommended against rewriting this in Rust. The underlying FFmpeg filters are already hand-tuned C/SIMD. Rewriting a 150-line POSIX shell script in Rust purely for status is the essence of Classic Loki artifice.
**4. SO MANY FILES!**: Look around: there are *so many files*. The ease with which an AI pairing agent can metastasize a simple problem into an entire galaxy of files and infrastructure is both the superpower and the trap. Beware the artifice.
**5. The Comforting Lies of Passing Specs**: In legacy codebases, we run specs to prove that something "works," but tests often prove nothing about reality when you cannot comprehend the broader system. Green tests reassure us while developers ship slop completed in isolation.
**6. The Strawberry Paradox**: An LLM cannot reliably count the "R"s in *"Strawberry,"* yet it can build a 10-harmonic DSP pipeline. Comprehension is prohibitively costly—making sovereign verification the only defense against an unaccountable scale of generated complexity.
